I want to start off by saying that I am a huge Gossip Girl fan!
I love every single outfit that Blair Waldorf wears...unfortunately I cannot say the same for Leighton Meester. Leighton recently wore this ensemble to the Nashville premiere of her new film "Country Strong" on Monday November 8th.
From head to toe this outfit is just wrong...I am not to sure what the deal is with the gold breast plates but it just isn't working, and the crochet top would be a style option for summer, maybe even for Spring (maybe) but in fall? I really am not into the long skirt, it doesn't give her silhouette justice and well it is just kind of plain unattractive all together. Her hair and makeup are flawless and is done beautifully elegant. And wow, her red shoes are absolutely gorgeous...but that doesn't make up for the mess going on in between her makeup and shoes. The design is done by Marc Jacobs, which just goes to prove that...just because it's designer doesn't mean you should wear it.
Sorry Leighton but not even Blair could pull this look off.
